Located on the Pajarito Plateau on the eastern slopes of the Jemez Mountains, the town sits atop four small hills of the Pajarito Plateau and had a population of 13,179 in 2020. It serves as the county's administrative center and one of two population centers within Los Alamos County; the other being White Rock. | |
